Exploring South Africa as an Artist”
Evelyn Rauch will take you on an amazing pictorial journey through four countries in Africa that she and her husband, David visited last October. She went with an artist’s eye but her experience taught her a lot about the culture, politics and racial divide that still exist in Africa.
She visited the Holocaust Center and Memorial in Cape Town, South Africa and met the artist of the Memorial. Evelyn went on Safari in Kruger Nation Park, visited Chobe National Park in Botswana, hiked around Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and climbed the red dunes of Namibia.
She became the eyes and ears of a friend who because of an illness will never see Africa. This correspondence between two friends led to a deeper understanding of Evelyn’s trip and responsibility tell an accurate description of her trip and feelings. Please join her as she takes you also on this exciting journey.
